Reflections, Joy, and Intentions for 2015

Get Lively with your Intentions for 2015

Well, here we are, five days into another new year.  How many times have you already said, “I can't believe another year has passed”?  I'm not sure about you, but I tend to get rather melancholy this time of year.  All of the momentum, celebration, and sometimes stress that carries us through the holidays always leaves me feeling somewhat sad and alone as I attempt to “get back into my routine” after the first of the year.  What is it about the holidays that leaves us feeling a bit let down after all of the activities have passed?  Perhaps because we are more social.  Perhaps because we spend more time with those we love.  So I have been trying to spend this period of transition reflecting on all of the joy that I felt over the last few weeks and expressing my gratitude for the abundance of love in my life.  Just typing that sentence made me smile.

As reframing my reflections on the holidays has buoyed my spirit a bit, I have begun to focus on my intentions for 2015.  Now I am not a resolutions person.  My intention is to live each day with a positive attitude, to nourish my body with healthy food and movement, and to be mindful in my relationship with myself and with others.  That said, I do appreciate the notion of a “new beginning” and the opportunity to shine some additional light on these intentions.

So with that in mind, what are your intentions for 2015?  What values do you strive to live by and how might you infuse them with a little bit of star power during the year ahead?  It's a powerful exercise to spend a moment reflecting on what matters most to you and making sure that you are living these intentions to their fullest.  So go ahead, grab a pen, a notebook and think about what brings you joy and how you will shine bright today, tomorrow, and beyond…

And just for fun, and in the spirit of “new beginnings,”  I am delighted to share my newly designed website and blog: www.getlivelynow.com.  In the coming weeks and months, I will be offering a series of tele-classes, webinars, and mindful moments to support you on your journey to Get Lively

As always, thank you for reading and if you are inclined, share your intentions for the new year in the comments section below.
